So, the Ratios & Proportions Test is on Monday, October 24th.
Please, get prepared for it by doing the following: Go over the notes you took in class. (Remember, you should all have notes, since writing them is a requirement in my class). Hide the answers on your worksheets and try doing the problems over again. Then, correct yourself using our corrected questions we did in class together. Super important: Always correct your homework in class! Click on the Level 2 tab in this website and practice the worksheets that are found under the Ratios heading. There are even videos and notes that you can watch and use. Finally, use the corrected Review Questions worksheet that I posted here on my Blog. *Remember, an obstacle is just that, an obstacle. It's meant to be overcome. You can all do well in math, but you need to put forth the effort , especially if math doesn't come easy to you. Never give up! Good Luck! Do you understand the following concepts?
1 What is the difference between a fraction and a ratio? 2 Can you explain what a ratio and a unit rate is all about? 3 Can you create a ratio from a word problem? 4 Can you figure out the unit rate from a ratio? 5 Can you put a ratio in lowest terms? 6 Can you create proportional ratios? 7 What is a proportion? 8 What are the criteria of two ratios being proportional? 9 Can you find the missing term in two proportions? (ie: CrossMultiply) 10 Can you find the better buy using unit cost? If so, GREAT! If not, well come see me for some help. Our test is a week away!
